Edwin was born in Montclair, New Jersey on January 20, 1930. Edwin attended  West Point then entered the Air Force. He flew 66 missions F-6's in Korea where he got his nickname "Buzz".
    On November 11, 1966 he orbited in the Gemini XII. Buzz was very important in accomplishing the Apollo project. He was successfully landed on the moon. He was the third group selection made by NASA in October 1963. 
     Edwin was the second person to set foot on the moon. Buzz and Neil spent 20 hours or more on the moon and then returned to orbit. they came back to Earth on July 24, ,1969. In 1971 Edwin joined the Air Force. One year later he retired and wrote many books about his missions. He currently lives near Los Angeles.
