The Gestapo

Late in the year of 1930 the Nazis were gaining the general vote, fights were breaking out on the street between the Nazis and communists. Prussia wanted a stronger police force. So they decided to make a secret internal protection agency. map of Prussia
The minister of the interior of Prussia, Herman Goring created the idea called the Gestapa. This agency was supposed to protect the people of Prussia. Little did he no it would become the agency to inflict the most pain against Jews. Herman Goring
Heinrich Himmler    Goring Hired a man named Fredrick Diels as head of the Gestapa. He was doing a fine job as head up until the middle of 1933, when Heinrich Himmler started to climb the ranks of the police state.  Near the middle of 1934 Diels was fired. Himmler seized the opportunity and had Reinhard Heydrich hired at Diels' termination.
By 1936 the Geheime Staatspolizei "Gestapo" was getting it's men as experienced officers from other agency's. It was 1936 when they first merged with another agency. The first agency they merged with was the Kripo creating the Sipo. This started a kind of chain and they would merge with several other agency's before the end of Hitler.
Towards the middle of 1939 the Sipo merged with a military intelligence branch known as the SS to create RSHA. After the bonding Heinrich Muller became the head of the Gestapo. at this time Hitler was reorganizing the Nazi armies. With all the recent bindings the Gestapo's jobs often became mixed with  the jobs of the other branches of the RSHA.
Because of all the new people and recruits the RSHA moved to and around the old Gestapo building.
