American Troops
                   What They Found When They Walked In?
       When the American Troops walked in they found frozen box cars that were shut. When they opened the box cars
starved, frozen corpses fell out. The frozen corpses were in cold, subzero temperatures.
                     Disbelief
         Dachau in World War 2 was used as a munitions dumps. Also the slaughter and ill conditions were remarkable. So, 
when the American Troops walked in they walked in with disbelief.
                 Hebertshausen
                   Shooting Range

   Located at Hebertshausen, a municipality adjoining Dachau, is a shooting range that was built mostly for the S.S. In 1937 a facility with 2 short shooting lanes in between 3 bulwarks was set up. The shooting lanes were enclosed with a bunker. The bunker was used as a bullet catch.

     The Execution
    Some 4,000 imprisoned Soviet Solders were executed in the shooting range. These murders were a clear violation of the prisoners. They were laid down in the Geneva convention for prisoners of war.

 
               Violence Against Jews

    With all the violence against Jews by the Nazi, President Franklin D. Roosevelt had invited 32 countries to a Conference in
Evian, France in July 1938 to discuss the problems with Jewish Refugees. The only country that agreed to let the Jewish
Refugees in was the Dominica Republic.
           Evacuation
    On April 26th, 3 days before the liberation of Dachau, 1,759 Jews had been put onto a train and evacuated, by the orders
 of Heinrich Himmler. Then 6,887 other prisoners, half of them Jews and half of them Russians POWs, had been marched
in the direction South Tyrol.
              Punishments for Josef Ulc
                 Josef Ulc
     Josef Ulc, a Czech musician, was arrested as a political opponent of the Nazi in 1939. He first was deported to
Sachsephausen concentration camp. Next he was deported to Dachau.
            Punishments
    Josef Ulc allegedly planned to escape. For allegedly escaping he was punished with 50 strokes. He was also punished with
14 days in the dark cell.
            Mass Murder
                A Sight of Murder
     During the war, the Dachau concentration camp became a sight of mass murder. From October 1941 many thousands of
Soviet prisoners were brought to Dachau and then shot. Other prisoners condemned for execution on Gestapo orders. 
                Mass Grave

   Orders issued by the Dachau commanders, eight mass graves were dung on the Leitenberg. Leitenberg us located in the Dachau district Etzenhausen. The first mass grave dug was in Leitenberg in October 1944.

           Population

           End of War

      By the end of World War 1 the population of Dachau was 67,665 prisoners.

 

  
     I feel that Dachau should of never been made. Dachau is killing innocent people even if it wasn't intended to. It was a
horrible thing for Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi, to let the storm troopers build Dachau.
