Benteen

He was born in Petersburg, Virginia on August 24, 1834 and served in the 7^th Calvary. During the Battle of Little Bighorn he suffered many casualties. The Indians retreated however to fight off Custer. He and his command were rescued. He died in Atlanta, Georgia on June 22, 1892. He is buried in Section 3 of the Arlington Cemetery beside his wife.
