Anne Frank's Story

Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfort am Main Germany at about 07:30. Anne had an older sister named Margot. Because of the anti-Jews in Germany her dad (Otto Frank) opened in Amsterdam a branch of his company.  There Otto began planning to     bring his family. The Anti-Jewish National Socialist party which was lead  by Adolf Hitler. They moved into a house just south of Amsterdam in Medwedplein, Netherlands when Anne was 4. Anne attended Montessori a school where she made many friends and was a great student.
In 1940 Hitler's troops conquered Holland. Now the freedom of Jews was being restricted. Otto was aware of what the restrictions might have lead to so that  year he started preparing and stalking the  "secret annex" behind his building or office.

On July 5th 1942 Anne's family moved into the "secret annex." Eight people lived in the "secret annex." There was Anne Frank, Margot Frank, Edith Frank, Otto Frank, the Vanpels which consisted of 3 people, and a dentist named Pfeffer.
In the annex they all woke up at 06:45 a.m. and then at 08:30 a.m. they had to be quiet because work begins beneath them at the warehouse. They have breakfast at 09:00 a.m. from then to 12:30 P.M. or when the warehouse closes for lunch they had to be absolutely quiet.
At 14:00 the warehouse reopens and they have to be quiet again. From 14:00 to 17:30 they either read or rested. At 17:30 they were aloud to move around again and talk. At 21:00 they all went to bed. This was their weekly routine,  but on weekends they did almost the same thing because they wanted it to look like they were in a empty building so no one would know they were there.
On August 4th, 1944 there hiding place was revealed  they were not for sure but the thought it was probably Lena Hartog-van Bladern. Lena was a cleaning women who worked in the front of the "secret annex."
Those who lived in the " secret annex" were taken to concentration camps. The concentration camp was called Westbork camp. Latter on Anne was taken to the camp of Bergen-Belsen. one of Anne's friends were taken to the same camp.
At the camp they were not aloud to eat barely anything. They were allowed one roll for every eight days, one cup of coffee a day, and a bowl of soup. Anne often said "At camp Bergen-Belsen you don't have feelings anymore."
Otto Frank (Anne's dad) was barely alive when he went out in search for his family. He had found out that his wife died. He figured that out while he was searching for Anne and Margot.
Margot had also died. She died of typhus in in the year 1944, which was the year they were arrested. In 1945 Anne had died of typhus too. Anne had died just before her 16th birthday.
When Otto Frank returned home that's when he found out that Anne and Margot were dead. Otto was very crushed when he found out that he was the only one of the eight people in the "secret annex" who was still alive.
