Joseph Mengele was born on March 16, 1911, in Gunzburg Barvaria.  While growing up his father sold military products.  Josef worked on a farm.

         In 1943 himler named him head doctor at Auschwitz.  He preformed gruesome medical experiments on Jews and Gypes. If  he found twins he would sketch and measure them.  He studied twins to see if he could incres the Aryan birth rate.

           Mengele would drop chemicles into people's eyes to see if he could change their color.  He preformed serious surgeries without putting patiants to sleep.

         He preformed countless unnessecary expiriments and surgries.  Captives were froooze to death, castrated, killed in the gas chambers, burned, and shot. There was a reported time when he stepped on a woman's chest and killed her.  On some ''patients'' he would inject chloroform into there hearts killing them instantly.  He would cut and vstrech tattos off a patient if he liked the design.  After the prisoners were dead Mengele would have one of his assistants disected them. 

           When Aucshwitz closed he went to Germany.  He lived there with his wife and son until the Nuremburg trials.  Then he fled to Argintina .  A few years later he was discovered by the police for practicing without a liscence. He was questioned and then released.

           He then moved to Brazil with many other Nazi refuges, were they lived out the rest of there lives.

           On Febuary 11, 1979 he died while swimming he suffered a stroke. and drowned. In 1985 scientists found what they think are the remains of Dr. Josef  Mengele.

            Josef would not have his picture taken becouse he knew one day he would be tried  for crimes aginst humanity.

           He was also in charge of selction .when a train load of Jews arrived he would say right or left. One led to the work force, the other led straight to the gas chamber.
