Ulysses S. Grant walked into the Battle of Appomattox ready and aware, that the soldiers of Lee were going to be ready to win.
Robert E. Lee dressed as always was dressed poorly, while on the other side of the gun, powder grant was dressed looking like a nice gentleman, that didn�t know what he was getting into.

Both groups of soldiers, Grants and Lees were on their way to the Battlefield, with flags in the air representing. When they arrived, shot after shot, powder in the air. While after losing most of his guys, and after long hard fighting Lee gave up.
He told Grant to leave and get out of here, you can keep your land and your weapons just get out.
Soon After that, they would set in the Appomattox Court House, making, and signing a peace treaty, for the Battle to end, people were left in shock. Grants people were confused they hadn�t lost anything, and that he had given up.The peace treaty was made and the Battle was done, with no land lost, and no land gained. Lee lived on in his life knowing he had given up for a good reason.
Lee would probably try to remember what he had done that very day on that very Battlefield. Lee was a good man for doing what he did. People got to live their lives knowing what Lee had done for them.
After the Battle Lee was almost tried of being a traitor, but was only left with his civil rights suspended. Lee was offered the job to be the post for the Washington University, where he would serve until he died in 1870. For Lee, they later named the school Washington and Lee.
General Ford Had Lee�s citizenship restored.
Before anyone could find out Lee had actually offered to command the union army and troops to victory bet resigned his commission so that he could return to Virginia, and then he could lead the confederates to many victories.Lee surrendered on April 9,1865.

Lee lived a good life, as a soldier and also as a regular person. Lee lived his life the best he could while it was there. People looked at Lee as one of the best soldiers that lived.
