The sixties was a great era for music, with Twist & Shout from the Beetles of Elvis dancing all over the stage.  A few popular bands were the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, and the Monkees.  I'm sure you'd love to try the pony or the mash potato, two hip dances of the time.  LaBamba by Richie Valance or Stand By Me by Ben E. King might get the crowd doing the hully gully.  If not maybe Simon & Garfunkle or Sonny & Cher were other favorites.
