| If you were wondering where the word hippie came from here's an answer. It was first used in new York but it wasn't hippie it was hipster (in the early 1950"s). later in 1959 it was changed to hippie to be more convental. hippie weren't all bad they were known for many good things. One was movements that changed our history as we know it. | |
| But bad things did happen in some movements as many as 2,500 hippies were arrested like one movement in Mississippi 2,500 hippies were arrested (the most they ever had at one time. Most people thought hippies were freaks but they were wrong hippie are children of god they follow his beliefs no matter what they were. They didn't Believe in war only peace. | |
| Some things were dedicated to hippies like the Broadway musical hair later became the VHS tape for home use. Also the micro bus (known as the hippie van). The original hippies lived around the 1950's to the 1970's one other thing good from the hippies was WOODSTOCK '69. It was known as the three days of freedom, love, and peace. | |
