Anne's Diary

 
 
This is a story about a girl who didn't survive the holocaust but her diary did. Anne Frank Didn’t have a really big family but it was enough. She had a mom, dad, and sister. Her mom's Name was Edith, her dad's name was Otto, and her sister’s name is Margot. They had a family Business (they made cough drops.) On November 16th Margot Frank was born in Frankfurt Germany. Anne was born in Frankfurt Germany as well.  Anne was Mr. and Mrs. Franks second daughter.   Margot was their first. Anne loved guests, when the guests came she would ask so many questions. She was always a chatterbox like her mother.  When Anne got pictures she would sometimes put expressions on the bottom or top. When Anne was in school in Amsterdam, her teacher was Mr. Kneeing There were 31 students in her class at the most. When Anne was in school she would always flirt with boys by looking and messing with her hair. Before the war Anne had friends she would always play with, who were Sane, Lies Goslar was a Jew as well. In May 1940 Anne and her sister were forced to go to a Jewish school.
                                                                                                    
 
Anne didn’t want to leave her school, she loved her school. Around that time, they made the stars to show they were Jews On June 12 1942 Anne receives her diary she wrote in, on her birthday. One day when Anne was working on her homework, Margot came running into tell Anne that her parents had received a telegram that they had to go to a camp. Then they decided to go into hiding. There were seven people hiding in the top section in the back of Anne’s dad’s business which Anne called it the secret annex.

When they were in hiding they had to share a room with some one. Anne had to share a room with Mr. Peffer while they were in hiding. Anne was always scared because she always thought that they would be discovered in there annex. The Franks hid with 4 Dutch Jews. They hid in the annex for 2 years. Friends of Anne’s dad helped them with food, water, and clothing. While Anne was in hiding she was dating Peter Van Pels. During the time they were dating Anne’s dad didn’t approve of him, also Anne had her first kiss by Peter Van Pels in the attic. When Anne and the others got caught the Russians had just landed, but they were too late.

 On August the 4th the German police found them in their secret annex. When the people of the secret annex got of the train, there were two lines. In one line people got gassed. The other people were working people, so Anne’s family worked. The people who were in the Secret Annex had to wear blue overalls to show that they were criminals for hiding. When Anne and Margot went to bed in the camps they had lice in their skin when they woke up. On August 8th 1944 Anne and Margot were sent to Bergen Belsen. Anne’s mother died in January 1945. Both Anne and Margot died of typhus on March 1945 a week before the British troops liberated Bergen Belsen On June 3,1945 Anne’s dad returns to Amsterdam with his work buddies, and later finds Anne’s diary. Anne’s dad was the only survivor out of the Secret Annex.
                                                                                    

Anne’s dad publishes Anne’s diary in 1947. It was published in English in 1951 Anne’s diary was published as Het Achterhuis. Then in 1960 Prinsen Gratchet 263 was opened as a museum called the Anne Frank House. Anne’s diary was written in 50 languages and they sold over 25 million copies. Anne’s dad remarried and was a stepfather to one little girl.
