The S.S. made them split into two lines. they called out carpenters, tailors, blacksmiths, and seamstresses.  By then some still didn't know they were in a death camp.  Then the older and the crippled people were sent straight to the pits and they were shot.  The actual death process took twenty- thirty minutes. Including getting their head  shaved.            The people with usual jobs were lucky.  And the people with unusual jobs were unlucky they had to clean the bodies out of the gas chambers and they had to bury the mass graves.  The prisoners were working and then some dieing in fear.           The actual plan was to get rid of all the Jews in Germany and Poland, the official name was the Final Solution.  In two months the camp Sobibor killed one-hundred thousand prisoners (May-June 1042).  Most of them came from Germany and some from Poland.  Between August and September, the train tracks were in repair.  The murdered  stopped for two months then it started again.             On July 23, 1942 eight prisoners escaped from Sobibor. Sixteen to eighteen were shot in the attempted.  On October 13,1943 four hundred  people escaped only half lived threw the winter.  One hundred got captured or got shot in the attempted.  In that uprising twenty S.S. were killed and there were escape holes cut in all of the fences.  Sobibor was the Nazi best kept secret extermination camp.  The camp was shut down dew to the uprising .   The camp was completely destroyed in the fall or 1943.
