The 1936 Olympics
In the 1916 Olympics in Berlin had been cancelled because of World War 11.

On May 13,1931, head of the Olympic Committee Count,  Henri Baillet- Latour of Belgium gave the 1936 Olympics to Berlin.

In 1933 Adolph Hitler became chancellor of Germany. In 1936 Hitler and Goebbels considered banning all Jews of the 1936 Olympics. But in the face of the American Boycott, the Nazi's allowed Jews to compete.
Ireland was the only country country to boycott the 1936 Olympics. The 1936 Olympics was a great opportunity for the Nazis to demonstrate to the world how good the Nazis were.

 

 
Two weeks in august 1936, Hitler and his dictatorship camouflaged its racist and militaristic character  while hosting the Berlin Olympics. Hitler and the Officials sat   on the balcony of the honor tribune.
The  most famous person at the Olympics at the time was Jesse Owens. Owens was an African American, Owens was born in Danville, Alabama. Owens   won 4 medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

The German superstar was Lutz-Lang which he long jumped. He had blond hair, blue eyes. The typical Aryan race.

Greece  ran breathlessly into the Olympic stadium to light the  Olympic flame. Forty-five foot high flags that were decorated with decorated with large swastikas fluttered all over Berlin's streets. Adolph Hitler opened the 1936 Olympics as 20,000 carrier pigeons were released in the sky.
