The Great Chief Quanah Parker

 

When Quanah Parker was young his mother was captured by a Texas ranger. she died several years later she died sum people say it was from grief .As he grew up he started to be a great and famous worrier and even later he became a chief of the Comanche. Ashe grew up more and more people started liking him because of the way he dealt with the white people, because he was with them so much he began to like their customs. although he still stayed a true Comanche. Even though he fought to keep the settlers off his land the people in Texas and Oklahoma still admire his pride and honesty. 
In1867Quanha became the chief of the Kiahadi Comanche tribe he also was the last chief to convert to a reservation from the stake planes. After the converted they let farmers use their land to run their cattle on which gave the Comanche much-needed income. to show their appreciation they built a mansion for him.
If you are wondering how he got his name, well Quanah was named after a Comanche name kwaina which means fragrant. He picked up parker as honor to his mother.
In 1867for the next eight years Quanah led an alliance agents frontiersmen in Texas to keep Texas reservations safe for the Indians. He also prepared himself by working as a biasness agent between the Indians and the white folks. After he surrendered in1875 he quickly learned to speck Spanish ,and how to adopt new methods of agriculture  
He was given the title of the richest Indian in the united states of America
Quanah earned the respect of the government officials one of winch said "if even nature stamped a man with the seal of headship she did it in this case Quanah would have earned a leader and a government in any critical where ever fate might have cast him, it is in his blood". If I where hem I would be so happy because he got just about all he wanted.  
Quanah was a good chief for every body he set a good example. He was a judge for the Indian affairs .in1890ne became the chief of all the Comanche tribes
